Julia Gillard, former Prime Minister of Australia and Chair of the Global Partnership for Education, joined Wendy Kopp for a conversation about the challenges, priorities, and strategies for the global education agenda on the road to achieving the UN's Sustainable Development Goals for 2030. The former Prime Minister shared insights from her work, discussed the Global Partnership's just-released strategic plan for 2016 to 2020, and responded to questions from live and online audience members.
In addition to her role as Chair of the Global Partnership, a leading organization dedicated to expanding access and quality education worldwide, the former Prime Minister is a member of the Board of the International Commission on Financing Global Education Opportunity, serves as a Distinguished Senior Fellow with the Center for Universal Education at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C., and is a Patron of Camfed, the Campaign for Female Education.
