Phuc Hanh Huynh
Raised in a low-income family in a small town in the center of Vietnam, Phuc Hanh Huynh spent 12 years as a student in the country’s general education system. Passionate about solving problems facing today’s society, Phuc recognized an urgent need to ensure educational equity and excellence in his country. He founded Teach For Vietnam to build a pipeline of future leaders to address this challenge.
After earning his undergraduate degree in Vietnam, Phuc received a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Missouri and a Masters in Public Policy (MPP) from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, with a focus on international trade and finance and social entrepreneurship. Before founding Teach For Vietnam, he worked in both the private and nonprofit sectors as a Strategy and Business Operations Manager at Grab, a graduate assistant at the University of Missouri – Columbia, and an accountant at Intel Vietnam. In 2012, he co-founded Thu Quan Doanh Nhan (TQDN), a not-for-profit social enterprise in Vietnam that helps low-income youths attain opportunities to study abroad.
Phuc’s interests include social entrepreneurship, impact investment, education leadership, and sustainable development.
