Alumni Changemakers: Ed Vainker and Sandra Fomotškin

Teach First (UK) alumnus Ed Vainker and Noored Kooli (Estonia) alumna Sandra Fomotškin are two of the many Teach For All network alumni around the world who are continuing to work towards expanded opportunity for children, inside and outside of the classroom.

Ed Vainker is Principal and Co-Founder of REACH Academy, where faculty, staff, students, and parents are equally invested in the school's values-driven approach and commitment to high expectations of every child. Ed and his team believe that in order for teachers to have a transformative impact on their students, there must be transparency about what it will take for those students to achieve a level of success that will offer them the greatest number of future options.

As a Communications Consultant for The Ministry of Education and Research in The Republic of Estonia, Sandra Fomotškin draws on her past experiences as a teacher and Noored Kooli staff member to help educators, administrators, and the public understand new policies created by the Ministry and to work to change stakeholders' mindsets about the country's education system.
