Since 2016, Teach For Bangladesh and DHL Bangladesh have been collaboratively leading the project “Empowering young minds to save lives,” which educates students taught by Teach For Bangladesh Fellows about road safety and how to prepare for a natural disaster.
Teach For All and Deutsche Post DHL Group have extended their partnership for an additional three years, reaffirming their commitment to ensuring all children have the opportunity to attain an excellent education, regardless of background or economic status.
In the communities where they teach, Teach For All participants across the network are working with parents and community members to ensure their students are learning and thriving, inside and outside the classroom.
On Friday, July 1, 2016, 22 people were killed in a savage terror attack in Dhaka, Bangladesh, leaving the country in utter shock and grief. Teach For Bangladesh’s CEO Maimuna Ahmad was right down the street at the time of the attack and was personally affected by the tragedy. The following is an excerpt of a moving letter Maimuna sent to the Teach For Bangladesh community shortly after the horrific attack.
On November 18 and 19, 2015, Teach For All network partners from Bangladesh, Malaysia, India, and the Philippines gathered in Bangkok, Thailand, with the Deutsche Post DHL Group to participate in the first GoTeach Asia Pacific Conference. The event was a joint celebration of Deutsche Post DHL Group’s partnership with Teach For All and with the non-profit organization SOS Children’s Villages.
We're excited to announce that Deutsche Post DHL Group (DPDHL) has extended its partnership with Teach For All in Asia Pacific, to Bangladesh and Malaysia, helping to boost educational opportunities and employability within the two countries.
The move brings the total number of country partnerships between DPDHL and Teach For All partners to 10, with a total of four in Asia Pacific.
Last month I spent a week visiting two of Teach For All's youngest partner organisations—Teach For Nepal and Teach For Bangladesh. Both visits were truly inspiring and further pushed my sense of possibility for Teach First's own work and the progress of other partners around the world.
