In March 2016, Teach For All launched the Communities of Practice, providing a platform for alumni from across the global network with similar career pathways to build relationships and further their work by sharing and discussing each other’s successes and challenges. While individuals’ local contexts are unique, the nature of the challenges the alumni are addressing in their countries is often similar.
In August 2016, Teach First Israel alumni and participants visited New York City for a three-day learning trip focused on professional development in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Each morning, the group attended formal professional development sessions focused on STEM lesson planning at the Relay Graduate School of Education.
From May 2-5, 2016, participants and staff members from across the Teach For All network gathered in Miri, Malaysia, to discuss innovative teaching methods and share effective practices, with the goal of increasing their leadership capacity and making significant strides toward their visions for their students.
