Aura has worked with Teach for Romania since 2014. For three years she developed recruitment, selection and integration strategies for the program, and coordinated human resource processes for employees. Currently, as Teach for Romania’s Program Director and Interim CEO she wants to ensure that teachers get relevant experiences to help their development as alumni who can work towards systemic change and can influence the education of Romanian children for the better.
Aura holds a degree in English-Spanish and a Master’s degree in Organizational Communication. She feels grateful for having discovered volunteering and social responsibility projects before having a paid job and that at the age of 20, she was the president of AIESEC Craiova. AIESEC is the largest global youth organization, and Aura was responsible for developing a team of 40 students, working in human resources, project management and communication and dreaming of social impact.
Aura has worked with student and youth organizations and developed projects for children in unprivileged rural areas. She is a professional trainer and holds a coaching accreditation from the International Coach Federation. After 11 years of cumulated professional experience and deep motivation for social impact, education is the field that brings her to fulfilment and where her competencies, time and energy add the most value.
