Highlights From the Teach For All 2015 Global Conference

From October 15-17, over 200 members of the Teach For All community from more than 40 countries came together in Auckland, New Zealand to learn together and immerse themselves in Aotearoa New Zealand’s educational landscape. Co-hosted by Teach For All and Teach First NZ, the conference brought together network CEOs, staff, alumni, supporters, and other stakeholders, as well as more than 100 members of the New Zealand education community, to explore the theme of “Hoea ngātahitia ki kō atu: Paddling together takes us further together.”

Over the course of three days of keynote speeches, panel discussions, insights sessions, and community visits, attendees forged and strengthened relationships with one another, gained new insights about New Zealand's approach to cultural competency and relationship-based teaching, learned about exciting innovations from across the global network, and deeply engaged with the unique multiculturalism of the Aotearoa New Zealand context.
