"For us what was really important is that this wasn't going to be something that Teach First's Social Innovation Unit was coming over to implement, but that this was about transferring the knowledge so that Ensena por Mexico can do it in their context and they can lead this in years to come." - Gina Cicerone, Senior Officer, Innovation Unit, Teach First (UK)
Last summer, Enseña por México hosted a social innovation “bootcamp” led by specialists from Teach First’s Innovation Unit, who supported Enseña por México participants and alumni in identifying problems underpinning inequity in the communities in which they work, generating ideas for addressing them, and then prototyping those ideas.
Enseña por México and Teach First also invited alumni social entrepreneurs from across the Teach For All network to inspire and mentor the bootcamp participants. Participants then pitched their ideas to a panel of expert judges and potential funders.
