Professor Arthur G.O. Mutambara

Mutambara is the Former Deputy Prime Minister of Zimbabwe. He is the author of a new trilogy (three books): In Search of the Elusive Zimbabwean Dream: An Autobiography of Thought Leadership.  He was one of the three Principals who created and led the Government of National Unity (GNU). The other two were Prime Minister Tsvangirai and President Mugabe. The GNU was responsible for facilitating the drafting and adoption of the 2013 National Constitution. 

Professor Arthur Mutambara is an independent technology and strategy consultant, based in SA.  He is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), a Professional Engineer, a Fellow of the Zimbabwe Institute of Engineers (ZIE), a Fellow of the Zimbabwe Academy of Sciences (ZAS), and a Senior Member of IEEE. 

His major areas of consultancy, research and advisory work include:

  1. The Fourth Industrial Revolution (state of play; the technologies; implication for business, government and academia; 4IR business opportunities; and the 4IR-Covid-19 nexus
  2. Multisensor fusion, decentralized control, distributed networks, AI, automation and instrumentation.
  3. Consultancy to both private and public entities on thriving under Covid-19 and beyond Covid-19 (new business models, new leadership imperatives, organisational redesign, and use of data/analytics/technology
  4. Establishing and directing the Strategy and Institute for African Agency in Public Health
