How can we grow all students holistically so they can shape a better future?

This is the question at the heart of the Global Institute for Shaping a Better future, an initiative of Teach For All.

The Global Institute will contribute to the learning and leadership development of people committed to reshaping education, in the process generating new insights, evidence, tools, and resources to accelerate progress.

The Global Institute's work is designed to make progress towards a shared learning agenda guided by the question of how to grow students holistically who can shape a better future, and its implications across different levels of the global education ecosystem:

 

What is happening in classrooms where students are developing holistically?

What distinguishes teachers who  support students’ holistic development—and how do they think, act, and measure success?

What is happening in places where collective leadership is developing towards system change? 

What defines collective leadership that drives systems change—and how can we understand and measure its impact?

How can we develop collective leadership to shift classrooms and systems?

What are the individual and collective capacities needed? What learning conditions and experiences enable holistic growth for all—teachers, students, and communities? And how do we measure progress in developing leadership of self, others, and the world?

Global Forum for Shaping a Better Future

The Global Forum for Shaping a Better Future is an intimate annual convening of visionary leaders in education to collectively investigate and advance a shared learning agenda on how to shift the purpose of education systems towards holistic student outcomes.

Efforts to amplify, collaborate and convene stakeholders from around the world to build relationships, learn from and with each other, and set common agendas to contribute to shifts in the purpose and practices of education systems globally

Outreach and Engagement

The Global Institute partners with other global education actors seeking to shift the purpose and practices of education systems globally by: 

  • AMPLIFYING: Raising awareness for change and commitment by elevating the voices of educators, students, and others who are working to transform schools and systems
  • COLLABORATING: Building strategic partnerships and engaging in collaborative research, learning, and advocacy to improve the conditions in classrooms, schools, and communities so students have the education, support, and opportunity to shape a better future
  • CONVENING: Designing, convening, and contributing to spaces where education leaders from around the world come together to build relationships, learn from and with each other, and set common agendas
