Rufaro Nyoni
Rufaro Nyoni is an alum of the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at African Leadership Academy who graduated with an Honors in the Bachelor of Science degree in Finance concentrating in Investment Management at United States International University-Africa. Rufaro currently works full-time for Education Matters and the USAP Community School as the Finance and Administration Manager. She is an active member and Acting Treasurer of Ruzhowa SACCOS. Rufaro is the Founder of Parantaa Africa Foundation (2021), an organization that seeks to serve as a bridge that connects young people to numerous opportunities around the globe. Rufaro is a mentor for the Global Give Back Circle and Makomborero Zimbabwe.
Rufaro has voluntarily interned for the Yale Young Africa Scholars Ghana Program (2018) as an Instructor and Mentor. Rufaro participated in Nairobi Securities Exchange Challenge (Kenya), Capital Markets Authority University Challenge (Kenya), African Leadership Academy’s Venture Festival (South Africa), Baobab Summit (Rwanda), African Women Leadership Conference (Wellesley College, USA), UN Women 16 Days of Activism (Kenya) and has been awarded the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Entrepreneurial Funding.
