Dr. Mona Mourshed is the President and founding CEO of Generation: You Employed, a global non-profit. Generation trains and places youth and mid-career learners in jobs that would otherwise be beyond their reach. After six years of operation, it is live in fourteen countries and 140 cities, with 39,000+ graduates across 28 professions. Generation has an 86% job placement rate and graduates earn 3-4X what they earned previously. Mona previously founded and led McKinsey & Company's global education practice, and led McKinsey’s global social responsibility function. Mona has authored widely cited education reports, including Education to Employment: Getting Europe’s Youth Into Work, and Education to Employment: Designing a System That Works. She was selected as one of Fortune Magazine’s ’40 under 40’, sits on the board of New America, and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Mona has a B.A. from Stanford University and a Ph.D. from MIT.
