Women in Finance:
Building Girls’ Leadership and Financial Literacy

March 11, 2021 | 1-3 PM GMT

Women are underrepresented in the financial sector, making up less than 20% of leadership roles. While that percentage is projected to grow to 31% by 2030, that’s still significantly below parity. We know that in order to enter and thrive in this field, girls must make academic and professional decisions early in life, including studying STEM subjects in school, seeking additional training through post-secondary education, and having access to mentors. However, many girls don’t have access to these opportunities, and when they do, they often encounter bias in academic programs and professional settings.

To celebrate International Women's Day, Teach For All is hosting a conversation with June Felix, CEO, IG Group; Meenakshi KS, Head of Global Business Integrated Services at Credit Suisse; and other women leaders about the current state of gender diversity and what makes women thrive in the industry. Join us as we discuss career paths for women in finance, and explore how women can support others to enter and succeed in the field
