Jojo Lam

CEO and Co-founder
Teach For Cambodia

Jojo Lam is the CEO and Co-founder of Teach For Cambodia.

She has spent the past decade building an entrepreneurial organization committed to unlocking the potential of young people to transform education and drive systemic change in Cambodia.

Under her leadership, Teach For Cambodia has developed 160 local leaders who have reached over 70,000 students in high-need public schools, working in partnership with government, higher education, and funders. These leaders are now advancing national education reform, serving marginalized communities, and expanding opportunity across communities and sectors.

She is driven by a deep belief in the power of collective leadership and in every young person’s potential to shape a better future. Her vision is to ensure all students in Cambodia —and across the region— have the opportunity to thrive and lead in an increasingly complex world.

Beyond Teach For Cambodia, Jojo serves on the board of the Harpswell Foundation where she chairs the Strategic Initiatives Committee and helps guide the organization’s expansion to develop more women leaders across ASEAN. She previously served as board treasurer of the NGO Education Partnership network, one of Cambodia’s longest-standing education coalitions, and is a member of the Acumen Foundry through the inaugural Inclusive Economy Leadership Program in Southeast Asia.

Born to refugee parents who believed in education as a pathway to freedom, Jojo was raised in Pomona, California and is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley. She began her career as a sorority leadership consultant, followed by years of public service at Berkeley’s MBA program, before dedicating herself to systems change in Southeast Asia.
