Aurora Esther Delgado Camones is a senior high school student who resides in Nuevo Chimbote, Ancash, a small fishing port in central Peru, and who demonstrates great awareness of the profound pollution problems that affect marine biodiversity. Motivated to address this pressing concern, she established AQUAMUNDO, a youth organization composed of more than 80 young volunteers from several Latin American countries, including Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Argentina and Mexico. AQUAMUNDO's mission revolves around promoting environmental education within their respective communities while actively participating in on-site initiatives, notably contributing to important waste cleanup efforts within the city of Aurora. Thanks to all the organized programs, it has been possible to reach more than 1,000 people from multiple countries.

As the leader and CEO of AQUAMUNDO, Aurora assumes the responsibility of guiding the organization to its full potential. She champions climate conservation efforts and consequently earned recognition as a TEDx Reporter of the Future (Peru) for her impactful advocacy against pollution and her insightful analyses of the ramifications of global warming on marine life.

Additionally, Aurora is a student of Enseña Perú, a distinction that grants her access to various national and international opportunities. She uses her voice to raise awareness and inspire future generations to take action for environmental management and above all motivate them to contribute to their communities.
