Qinan Liao is the CEO of Teach For China. Before he stepped into this role Qinan led Teach For China’s operations in the Guangdong region, including their strategic expansion and government engagement. Prior to working for Teach For China, Qinan started his career in 2004 as a teacher in rural Guilin, Guangxi Province, as part of the Graduate Student Teaching Corps. From 2007-2012, he worked for his alma mater, Sun Yat-sen University, as their Vice Secretary of Communist Youth League and also held several roles in the public administration of Guangdong Province. Qinan graduated from Sun Yat-sen University with a Bachelor of Law and a Masters in Sociology.
