What happens when a teacher challenges the gender norms that shape what girls believe they can achieve? 

When Khadija began her fellowship with Teach For Bangladesh, she saw girls questioning their own abilities and facing different expectations than boys. She set out to address these barriers at their root—in the classroom, with families, and across the wider community. 

By changing the way students learn and participate, creating opportunities for girls to take on leadership roles, and opening conversations with parents, Khadija is helping her students build confidence and see new possibilities for girls to learn, participate, and lead.
