Enseña por México alumni-led school wins Best School for Community Collaboration at the World's Best School Prizes 2025

A Favor del Niño I.A.P., a school in Mexico City where six Enseña por México alumni sit on the leadership team, including the General Director Daniela Jiménez, was recently named one of the best educational institutions in the world by T4 Education’s World’s Best School Prizes. Awarded first place in the Community Collaboration category, A Favor del Niño was recognized as a school that has built a community-driven model that centers inclusion, equity, and social transformation.
Located in the south of Mexico City, A Favor del Niño was intentionally co-created with families to ensure the school is a space of shared responsibility where students can thrive beyond the classroom. The school’s 360° educational model combines alliances with families, local organizations, and teachers, supporting not only academics but also students’ socio-emotional, nutritional, and health needs. Its Caregivers in Action program, which currently reaches more than 300 children in over 250 households, empowers families to support their children emotionally and academically. A Favor del Niño also provides more than 189,000 meals each year, and has ensured 100% of its female students of the appropriate age receive HPV vaccinations.
The results of A Favor del Niño’s community-driven approach and whole-child model are evident in its students’ strong academic outcomes: primary students average higher than 8 in all subjects and 100% of its graduates make a smooth transition to high-performing high schools.
"At A Favor del Niño, we believe that school is not only a place to learn, but also a place where the community comes together to build a better present and future for students," said Daniela Jiménez, the school’s General Director.
The vision and mission of Enseña por México are reflected in the impact of A Favor del Niño and its commitment to collaboration between educators, families, and communities. In total, 17 alumni of Enseña por México have been teachers and leaders at the school.
"We are very proud to see how professionals from our network have contributed to this achievement,” reflected Enseña por México’s CEO Juan Manuel González. “This type of recognition reaffirms that the collective work between families, teachers, and allies can transform the future of thousands of children.
Receiving the award not only brings A Favor del Niño international recognition, but also shines a spotlight on the importance of community collaboration in pursuit of combatting educational inequality and ensuring that more children have access to the education, support, and opportunity to fulfill their potential.
Congratulations to the A Favor del Niño team and community for this recognition of their inspiring work, and to Enseña por México for fostering the collective leadership of its alumni to create lasting change.
