Exploring Gender Dynamics Inside and Outside of the Classroom
When Teach For Lebanon alumna Samia Habli started teaching in Sarafand, she knew from personal experience that many young people in Lebanon are affected by gender inequities both inside and outside of school. Samia recognized that this was also true for her students, and so she decided to create spaces for them to explore the gender dynamics that affected their lives. These spaces provided opportunities for her students to develop the awareness and agency they needed to create change within themselves, their relationships, and the broader society.
