We're delighted to report that six Teach For All network alumni were included in the 2019 Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia and US lists, which recognize the next generation of society's changemakers. Each of the alumni celebrated by Forbes is working to improve education and expand opportunity for children and families in under-resourced communities. Among the honorees, who hail from India, Thailand, and the United States, is the Founder and CEO of Teach For Cambodia, Monirath Siv, who grew up in Cambodia and is a Teach For America alumnus. 

Meet the Forbes 30 Under 30 Teach For All alumni:

• Jharrett Bryantt (Teach For America)

  The youngest executive in one of the United States’s largest public school systems, Jharrett is spearheading efforts to close the college access gap as the Houston Independent School District’s Assistant Superintendent of the Office of Strategy & Innovation. Jharrett develops and leads initiatives that prepare high-achieving, less advantaged students for success at competitive universities.

• Aniket Doegar (Teach For India)

  Through his Teach For India fellowship, Aniket gained a deep understanding of the challenges faced by families in disadvantaged communities. His experience teaching in these communities  led to Aniket to co-found Haqdarshak, the first Indian social enterprise to digitize welfare programs on a single platform. Since its launch, Haqdarshak has helped close to 20,000 low-income families and individuals receive benefits that they otherwise would not have access to.

• Vanessa Luna (Teach For America)

  A Peruvian immigrant to the United States, Vanessa qualified for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status, a policy that enables her and other young undocumented immigrants to work or study legally in the U.S. As a DACA recipient, Vanessa became the first in her family to graduate from college,  and went on to become a Teach For America corps member and a founding member of TFA’s DACA National Board, which recruits and supports DACA recipients. These experiences inspired Vanessa to co-found ImmSchools, an organization that partners with educators to provide training to support the needs of 30,000 undocumented students and their families across the country.

• Sorawit Paiboonrattanakorn (Teach For Thailand)

  As the founder and CEO of Saturday School, a social enterprise he started in 2014, Sorawit is working to ensure children from marginalized communities stay in school and gain the necessary life skills to equip them for the future. Staffed by teachers and training volunteers, Saturday School has reached over 3,000 children in under-resourced communities in Bangkok.

• Stephanie Sharp (Teach For America)

  After teaching in Baltimore through Teach For America, and several years working in the ed-tech space, Stephanie joined Overdeck Family Foundation, an education-focused nonprofit that works to improve each stage of childhood learning. As a Program Analyst, Stephanie is responsible for sourcing and supporting grantee organizations focused on improving early childhood education, whose work supports 370,000 families.

• Monirath (Moni) Siv (Teach For America and Founder & CEO of Teach For Cambodia)

  Informed by his experience as a Teach For America corps member in New Jersey, Moni returned to his native country and founded Teach For Cambodia. Launched in 2017, Teach For Cambodia currently reaches more than 5,500 children in marginalized or under-resourced communities. As the CEO, Moni works closely with Teach For Cambodia’s staff and teachers  to develop a long-term vision that will ensure children in Cambodia’s disadvantaged communities have access to a quality education, and the support and opportunities they need to thrive.
