After two successful events in Chile in 2017 and Peru in 2018, Latido Latino was held in Mexico City from July 19 to 21, 2019.

The goal was to position the alumni of Teach For All’s Latin American partners as a powerful community of change agents, and focus on their professional development in three strategic areas: Education Policy, Social Innovation, and Educational Leadership.

With the aim of strengthening the impact of the Teach For All network in Latin America, Latido Latino provided alumni with professional development tools to maximize their individual and collective leadership. Attendees participated in workshops, panels, and discussions on diverse subjects, including:

  • Games as a tool to promote leadership through the Sustainable Development Goals
  • Teacher development in Latin America
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
  • Alumni in public policy
  • How to use what matters most to innovate
  • Building the new leadership paradigm
  • And more!

Latido Latino included spaces to share diverse experiences with “Voces por la Educación” (Voices for Education), where students from Peru, allies from Ecuador and alumni from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico inspired us all.

A total of 282 alumni, participants, staff members, and CEOs of the 10 Teach For All network partners in Latin America (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay), as well as a members of other relevant organizations, participated in this three-day event.

Attendees embodied what we want to achieve as a movement through inspiring leaders who are contributing to our collective vision.
