From October 24-26, over 450 members of the Teach For All community will gather in Bogota, Colombia for Teach For All's annual Global Conference. Co-hosted by Teach For All and Enseña por Colombia, the 2017 conference marks the network’s 10th anniversary, and will focus on the theme of Collective Leadership.

Given our increasingly interconnected world and the uncertainties of the future, Teach For All believes that to ensure all children have the education, support, and opportunity they need to fulfill their potential we must develop collective leadership – leadership that is collaborative and inspires others to act and lead. We need the collective leadership of educators, policymakers, students, parents, community members, and stakeholders across all sectors who understand the challenges and injustice of inequity and are committed to working together to realize a shared vision for their communities’ children.

Through plenary sessions, interactive workshops, and panel discussions, attendees will learn from a diverse line-up of thought leaders, educators, and innovators from across the globe, as well as from representatives of the Colombian education, social innovation communities and community leaders who, as part of the implementation of the country’s peace agreement, are working towards building a peaceful and inclusive society throughout Colombia.

Attendees will share insights and solutions that address the complex factors that contribute to inequity and learn from examples that illustrate the power of collective leadership, from within and beyond the network and the education sector. Speakers and storytellers from countries including Colombia, Haiti, South Africa, Mexico, the UK, and the US will reflect on the theme as it relates to a range of relevant topics, from education and public health to the environment and community development.
