We’re thrilled to announce that two Teach For All network CEOs and two alumni of network partner Teach For America are among the 20 inaugural Obama Foundation Fellows. Clarissa Delgado, CEO of Teach for the Philippines; Nedgine Paul Deroly, CEO of Anseye Pou Ayiti (Teach For Haiti); Veronica Palmer, Co-founder & CEO of RISE Colorado and Teach For America alumna; and Kalani Leifer, Executive Director of COOP and Teach For America alumnus, were selected along with 16 others from a pool of over 20,000 applicants from 191 countries.

According to the Obama Foundation, the Fellows are civic leaders representing 11 countries who are “working hand-in-hand with their communities to build better futures,” and whose “successes to date show how collaborative, community-driven work can lead to strong, imaginative, and long-lasting solutions.” These convictions are aligned with the Teach For All network’s belief that real, sustainable change requires collective leadership that is rooted in the strengths of local communities and the perspectives of those who have experienced the inequities and injustices being addressed.

We look forward to learning from Clarissa, Nedgine, Veronica, Kalani and their colleagues throughout their time in the Fellowship. Congratulations to all of the inspiring 2018 Obama Foundation Fellows!
