2020 Global Conference - Day 2 Assembly

Among the most anticipated moments of the 2020 Global Conference was a conversation between 2014 Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai and 11-year-old Teach For Nigeria student Chidinma Oraegbunam. During the discussion, Malala reflected on the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on students in marginalized communities, and highlighted the additional obstacles girls are facing in continuing to learn. Malala also shared her thoughts on the possibilities that can emerge from this crisis for ensuring equity and opportunity for all. Watch the video above for inspiration from both Malala and Chidinma, who is also a young education advocate.
